The purpose of LV4: Leading and Serving a School Community with Character- Part 2: Sustaining is to continue the discussion around Character Education for Leading and Serving a School (part 2). This course will review 6 major areas that leaders should prepare for when integrating character education into their school site. Beginning with Professional Development in Character Education, discussing and identifying High Leverage Practices and Character Education, connecting Character Education with Citizenship Education, discussing the importance of Character Education in extracurricular, how character formation compares to and can replace traditional behavior models as well as come alongside other support systems, and lastly the importance of collaboration & support from the families and communities involvement of Character Education. 


Requirements for Completion and Certificate:

  • Complete viewing of the video

  • Complete attached handouts

  • Minimum 80% score on course test 

  • Complete end-of-course evaluation
