This session will guide you through the four key steps of unpacking standards: understanding standards, aligning across grade levels, breaking standards into manageable pieces, and creating learning progressions. The facilitator will share relevant information, interactive activities, and other resources that can be used and effectively applied to any content area standards.


  • Clearly understand the purpose, format, and location of standards.

  • Align standards across grade levels to ensure continuity and progression.

  • Break standards down into smaller, more manageable pieces for easy instruction.

  • Develop learning progressions to track student progress and inform differentiated instruction.


***Participants will receive Four Professional Development Hours completion of this course.
