During this session, participants will have an opportunity to explore ways to apply the knowledge, skills, and values associated with character education. The focus includes promoting tenets of character by implementing opportunities for students to learn life skills, communication skills, and choice-making. Participants can examine classroom structures that foster civil discourse and the development of diversity. Additionally, the facilitator will share strategies for exploring national, state, and local resources that can support and guide the promotion of character education on a local school campus. session can equip educators with strategies to foster student autonomy and academic success. Participants can also explore effective techniques for developing sound study skills, empowering students to take ownership of their learning, and leveraging feedback to enhance their performance. By the end of the session, participants may have a toolkit of practical strategies to implement in their classrooms.
