During this professional development session, participants will have an opportunity to examine the definition of comprehension, which includes automatic word recognition, vocabulary knowledge, fluency, and background knowledge. The facilitator will explore the typical progression of comprehension skill development in grades K-5, key comprehension strategies, and appropriate instructional routines to support comprehension development.

*Participants will receive TWO Professional Development Hours for completion of this course.
